Current Favourites

current favourites

I haven't done a favourites post in a long time so this is long overdue. My favourite products don't always change from month to month which is why I prefer doing current favourite posts.

First up, a new skincare product I've been loving is the Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum. As my skin is very dry it absolutely drinks this up and even in the morning my face feels hydrated and glowy. If you have dry or dehydrated skin this is a must try!

After a lot of fuss trying to get the correct shade I'm very pleased to find I really like how the Too Faced Born This Way foundation looks and feels on my skin, despite the lightest shade being too yellow for my liking! Luckily I make it work so it doesn't look too unnatural. This foundation feels surprisingly light on the skin and has a satin finish which I much prefer over matte.

As this foundation contains a lot of water (again, great for dry skin) I have been enjoying using the Sephora 55 Brush, which I got in my Copenhagen Haul, to apply it with. This brush works best with liquid foundations such as the Born This Way or L'Oreal True Match.

I've had the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer for over a year but forgot how much liked using it until recently, possibly because it has a warm-ish tone which doesn't work for my pale skin in the winter. However lately I've been trying to use up the products I have because it's getting a bit ridiculous now and so I have rediscovered this lovely bronzer which I will probably repurchase.

Lastly, an old favourite is the MAC lipstick in Lustering which some of you will know that this was my first MAC lipstick and every time I use it I am reminded why! This colour is just perfect for me to wear as an every day colour or if it's more special occasion.

Top 3 Concealers

Just a quick post today to tell you all about my favourite concealers, especially as I don't see many people talking about these ones.

Everyday I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer under my eyes as it provides lovely coverage for dark circles whilst also brightening. Another staple concealer for me is the Maybelline Fit Me, which I actually have in two colours! This product is brilliant for covering anything from under eye circles to spots and redness. Many people compare this to the Nars Creamy Concealer but as I said in this post, I actually much prefer the Fit Me as it doesn't cake up or make my skin look dry.

Finally, I use the Maybelline Better Skin for heavy duty jobs, such as covering the redness on my cheeks and chin for a special occasion. This tube may seem small but the product is mighty; you only need a small amount for amazing coverage!

This post is short but these truly are the only concealer I use now, I probably should hunt down the others in my stash and get rid of them because it's doubtful I'll ever use them now I'm armed with this trio.

What are you favourite concealers?
