Copenhagen Haul

Copenhagen Haul

Over the long Easter weekend I went to Copenhagen to visit my friend Amy. While I was there I managed to fit in a lot of shopping and I'm so excited to show you all what I bought!

All Over The World Haul

First let's talk about my favourite store: All Over The World. The shop was so cute and I bought lots of home decor bits. Straight I away I picked up these Danish flag stickers to use in my planner and scrapbook to remember my trip. I also got a blue tray, to use for jewellery, and matching blue bunting to put up in my room. These rose gold paper clips were a bargain considering home much they are being sold for in England so I bought the regular and jumbo size.

Another decor purchase was this little white pot with a H on, I had to get it even though I'm not sure what to use it for yet! And lastly this shop had a whole stand of quote postcards so I was quite restrained in only buying two.

Tiger Haul

Then we went to the infamous Tiger! I was so excited to see this shop as I knew they had lots of adorable stationery and homeware. I was quite controlled and only bought three things: this sticky note house, which will be super cute on my desk, heart shaped sticky notes (not pictured) and this pink dancing flower which is mesmerizing to watch.

We also went to a very elegant shop called Notre Dame where I purchased a fake succulent plant and two pretty Copenhagen print postcards, which will be going in my scrapbook and on my wall.

Sephora Haul

Now for the bit you've all been waiting for... Sephora! I actually went in search of the Make Up Forever Face and Body foundation so I could swatch the shades but unfortunately my shade was sold out. However I did buy quite a few things from the Sephora line itself. I picked up the Sephora Airbrush 55 to go with the foundation and it was so soft that, despite not getting the foundation, I still bought the brush haha.

All the other products I bought were face masks! I purchased the sheet mask's in rose (ultra moisturising and brightening) and lotus (moisturising and soothing). I also bought the eye masks in rose and pomegranate (anti-fatigue and energizing). Lastly I got the lotus sleeping mask, mostly because the packing was so cute! This trio of Sephora eyeshadows came as a free gift and I'm interested to see how they work out.

Lastly, of course I spent all my left over money on duty free make up! Straight away I headed to the MAC counter to swatch lipsticks. I was going to buy Creme Cup and Russian Red but unfortunately Creme Cup was out of stock so I bought Russian Red and the mineralize blush in New Romance. I've been eyeing up the Clinique Blush Pop in Peach Pop so I decided to bite the bullet and just buy it!

I also picked up this duo of Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecter in 01 and 02 because everybody and their dog raves about them. I've been smelling the Victorias Secret Angel Gold perfume whenever I get the chance and, seeing as I had some money left, I chose to buy it. And isn't the bottle beautiful! Of course I also bought some souvenirs such as this flag, some fridge magnets and key rings.

All in all, Copenhagen is a beautiful place and I really enjoyed my time there. I really recommend visiting; it is a small city so a few days was enough to see everything I wanted to and I hope I can go again soon!

A Lip Product Haul

New lip products

At the weekend I got a little spend happy in Boots and bought five, yes FIVE, new lip products. I used my Boots point though, so it doesn't count... right?

I originally just went in for a couple of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets but they were on three for two, so of course I got three. I purchased the shades 09 Happy Nude Year, 12 Breau Brown and 07 Plum Plum Pidou. The shade 07 is actually a new 'Souffle de Velvet' so I'm looking forward to seeing how this differs from the original velvet formula.

Next I went to have a look at the new Lancome Juicy Shakers after seeing a swatch video of them and ended up buying two... I was only going to buy the shade 372 Berry Tale as it looked like a good everyday colour for me but then tried the shade 400 Mint To Be on top of the lipstick I was wearing as it was matte, leaving my lips feeling very dry. I fell in love with this shade as although it looks blue, it actually comes out clear and the oil formula is very moisturising. The lovely lady at the counter told me the blue tint helps to make your teeth look more white and it contains menthol to help freshen breath, I could actually feel my lips tingle a bit!

Are you trying out any new lip products?

Current Work Face

I'm currently doing a placement year, meaning I have been wearing make up every week day and by this point I've the routine down to a quick ten minutes. Let's talk about my 'work face'.

I've talked about the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation a lot so I wont go on but this is my foundation of choice for work, applied with Zoeva Silk Finish brush for quick application. Another product I've waxed lyrical about is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer, used to cover up the dark circles under my eyes. This is all topped off with the Rimmel Match Perfection Powder and then a light swipe of Hoola to add a bit of definition.

For a quick, easy look on the eye I put a wash of the brown shade from this I Am Powerful Palette from Makeup Revolution and then Bourjois 1 Second Volume Mascara on my lashes. I currently refuse to use anything on my brows apart from the Freedom Brow Pomade in Dark Brown as I just love how it makes my eyebrows look natural but polished.

And lastly I fill in my lips with the Essence Lip Liner in 07 Cute Pink which is the perfect everyday colour for me.

Do you wear the same make up for work or do you like to change it up?
