My Every Day Make Up

These are the lovely products I use to make my face socially acceptable! (L-R Clockwise) MUA Undress Me Too palette (£4), Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in True Ivory (£6.99), L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream in light/medium (£9.99), Revlon Nearly Naked Powder in (£7.99), Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter Eye Roll-On in light (£6.99), ELF Studio Blush in Blushing Rose (£3.95), Superdry Volumising Mascara (£20 in set), Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold (£4.99), Rimmel Glam Eyes Mono Eyeshadow in Jet Black (£4.49), 2True Effortless Eyeliner in Black (£1.99), NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder in Sunny (£1.99)

Phew, that was a lot!

The final result!
I always do my eyes first so if there is any fall over I can cover it with my face make up. I use the Colour Tattoo as my base and on uni days use a rose gold colour from the Naked 3 palette over the lid. However I didn't bring this palette home with me for Easter so I'm currently using the MUA Undress Me Too palette which is a dupe for the Naked 2. I use the gold shade all over my lid then blend the matte mauve-y colour in the crease and finish with the champagne colour in the corner of my eye.

I then use the 2True eyeliner to line my top lash line and (attempt!) a small wing, which sometimes turn out a lot bigger than originally intended. This is the only eyeliner I've found which doesn't fade or transfer onto the top of my eyelid or the crease (as you can see my eyelids sort of droop down to my lash line so transferring is a big issue for me). I love the Superdry mascara, which I got for Christmas in a set, as its very similar to the Maybelline One by One.

Then onto the face make up. I use the Garnier Eye Roll-On which is tinted under my eyes and then blend with the Real Techniques Setting brush, which I know isn't the intended use! With all the BB Cream hype Garnier has now repackaged and renamed this product but I hope it is still the same formula because it provides good coverage for my horrible bags but has an extremely light feel.

I then apply the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation with my Real Techniques Miracle Complextion Sponge (Review here). I have tried so many foundations but this is the only one I have found which works perfectly with my dry skin, providing build-able coverage which doesn't catch any dry flaky patches and matches my skin colour perfectly! If I need a little more coverage I use the Maybelline Better Skin Concealer with the sponge. I set my foundation with the Revlon Nearly Naked Powder which is incredibly soft and light weight while providing a lot of coverage. I tend to use the ELF Studio Blush in Blushing Rose for everyday and then contour/bronze (I do both at the same time, so unconventional) with the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder in Sunny, which has a bit of a cult following. It looks really orange but I promise, from a pale girl point of view, it's not!

Smooch!
I fill my eyebrows in with the Rimmel Glam Eyes Mono Eyeshadow in Jet Black with an angled brush. I don't use any fancy brow specific products, mainly because most are not dark enough to match to my black hair. My eye brows are naturally quite thick so I simply go over the brow hairs with the black eyeshadow. Im sure any eyeshadow would suffice in a pinch! I switch up my lip colour daily but one of my favourites and most used is the Revlon Colourburst Lipgloss in Strawberry (£7.99)

This seems like a lot of make up and a long routine but I have it down to a fine art, I can complete in ten minutes if rushed!

What products do you use daily and love? Let me know!

What's In My Bag?!

This is my gorgeous handbag I got for my birthday back in December. It's by Lipsy and was around £60 (I think?). I did look around online but unfortunately I couldn't find this bag anywhere. Its a lovely pale pink, nudeish shade which I seem to be leaning toward this year. I love the animal print behind the big bow, girlish but a hint of fierceness!

The metal work is rose gold and so beautiful
I didn't clean out my bag before taking these photo's and truthfully I just shoved all the junk back in after! I also forgot to photo my phone, oops!

So let's have a look inside! My purse is also Lipsy, which I bought on sale for £10! Its a similar colour to the bag and also has the rose gold metal work. I always have a random sample of lip products as I change what I wear most days but if I'm in a rush I just put on whatever I can find in my bag while on the bus! I currently have two sets of keys, my home keys and then the ones for my flat back in Leeds. As you can see there is a receipt and some change hanging about, as is custom!

Onto the beauty items inside my bag. The perfume I keep in my bag is Lacoste Touch of Pink as the bottle is quite small and it's a scent which everyone seems to like. The lip products which fell out of my bag today were a Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie (£7.99), NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm in Big Apple Red (£2.49) which is one of my favourite go to lip balms and ELF Plumping Glaze in Fuchsia Fanatic (£1.95). My lovely pink make up bag was bought for me by my Sister-In-Law as a birthday present and is a print of a painting! I also carry the Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush (£11.99) but it doesn't fit inside my make up bag.

The kiss and makeup case is from Victorias Secret and contains some travel brushes which are incredibly soft but I have yet to use. There is a fluffy powder brush, an angled fluffy brush, a blending brush, a slanted eye from and angled liner brush.

Now the interesting bit, inside my make up bag! I have the ELF Face Kabuki Brush (£6) for use with my powder; the Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Powder (£2.99). This powder was my go-to until I discovered the Revlon Nearly Naked! I keep the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19) in my bag rather than taking my whole foundation. I also have a MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil in Black (£1) for quick liner touch ups or to vamp up my look for night time. It comes with a handy built in sharpener! Next there is the Sleek Face Form in Light (£9.99) which has a matte contour, highlighter and blush which is everything you need to touch up your cheeks! I also use the contour colour to deepen my contour for night. Lastly is the Cherry Chapstick (£1.05), which is my favourite flavour. This might seem like quite a bit of make up but this is also what I take to university each day (along with the Victoria's Secret brush set) for touch ups or to amp up my day look for night time. This is essential for me as often I go to university and then continuing into the night after!

These are my keys, a few bobbles and a Daisy sampler card which keeps my bag smelling yum. The picture on my flat keys are my best friends from home and then my home keys have a little 'H'. The leopard print key is for my sisters house, isn't it funky!

What essentials do you keep in your bag?

A little haul

I am back home from university at the moment so I nipped into town for some shopping and lunch with my sister. Ended up in Boots and a decent amount of money was spent as always!

(L-R Clockwise) L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil for coloured hair (£9.99), Simple Kind to Skin Deep Cleansing Mask (£3.99), Witch Blemish Stick (£2.09), Seventeen Phwoarr Paint in Fair (£5.49), Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart (£7.99)

I originally went in just for the Lip Butter, which I wear a lot but had managed to mangle on a night out so required a new one, and a new Simple Spot Zapper. They didn't have the Simple Spot treatment in stock so instead got the Witch Blemish Stick, I hope it is as effective as the Simple one. I forgot to bring any face masks home with me and so I bought the Simple Deep Cleansing one as a gentle relaxing mask for when I decide to pamper myself and take advantage of the bath. I had a voucher for any Seventeen product so decided to try this concealer as I have heard it is a dupe for Benefit Boi-ing. And the hair oil I just wanted to try out! I did test it on my hand compared to a Tresemme one (don't tell the manager!) and the L'Oreal felt smoother and less greasy.

Have any opinions on these products? Let me know!
